The Board of Chiropractic Examiners (BCE) is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to serve as the Lead Administrative & Policy Analyst in BCE's Administration Unit.
Under the direction of the Administration & Licensing Manager, the Administrative & Policy Analyst independently performs a wide variety of complex administrative, analytical, and regulatory functions. This includes acting as the primary liaison to the Board and its Government & Public Affairs Committee, coordinating regulatory and legislative initiatives, and providing high-level analytical support to BCE management.

The Administrative & Policy Analyst works 40 hours per week in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone are essential. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work. This position requires occasional movement around the office, occasional bending and stooping to retrieve files, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. This position requires occasional statewide travel by various methods of transportation to attend quarterly Board meetings.
The Administrative & Policy Analyst has access to and routinely works with confidential or sensitive issues, information, and/or materials regarding Board members and BCE program matters. The Administrative & Policy Analyst is required to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of such information at all times.
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

The Administrative & Policy Analyst must possess effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to: use good judgment in decision-making; exercise creativity in problem identification and resolution; be flexible under changing priorities and deadlines; manage time and resources efficiently; work collaboratively with BCE and DCA staff, Board members, external agencies, stakeholders, licensees, and the public; maintain consistent, regular, and punctual attendance; and be responsive to the needs of the Board, Executive Officer, and BCE management.
