About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a manufacturing organization with a strong supply chain operation and a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role supports multiple departments and works closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Job Description:

The Buyer I will assist with day-to-day purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and order management. This position offers a dynamic workload where priorities may shift based on operational needs, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders within an ERP system
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes to support purchasing decisions
• Track open orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data
• Communicate regularly with suppliers and internal teams
• Support supplier performance related to quality, pricing, and lead times
• Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies in partnership with accounting
• Adapt daily responsibilities based on business priorities and project needs

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support
• Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and specifications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Clear and professional communication skills

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Some flexibility with start and end times, 8 hours a day M-F
• Work Environment: 100% in-office (potential hybrid option if converted to full-time)
• Employment Type: Contract with potential for conversion
