Commercial Construction Project Coordinator - General Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 55k/year - Fredericksburg, TX

• Our client is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Coordinator with experience in construction and knowledge of the different trades within the industry. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a dependable network of qualified subcontractors, gathering competitive bids based on project plans, and ensuring clear communication between subcontractors and the builder. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in estimating and subcontractor relationship management, with a demonstrated ability to proactively source, cold call, and establish new subcontractor partnerships. A strong understanding of construction drawings, scopes of work, and estimating procedures is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for all subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Develop, expand, and maintain a reliable subcontractor network.
  
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and contract distribution.
  
• Track subcontractor insurance, licenses, and required safety documents.
  
• Request, collect, and organize bids based on project and house plans.
  
• Review bids for accuracy and alignment with scopes of work.
  
• Assist in value engineering and estimating tasks as needed.
  
• Maintain updated cost data and subcontractor pricing.
  
• Communicate project requirements, schedules, and expectations to subcontractors.
  
• Coordinate trade sequencing and ensure subcontractors are aligned with project timelines.
  
• Support the builder and project managers with subcontractor updates, confirmations, and logistics.
  
• Ensure subcontractor work aligns with project specifications and quality standards.
  
• Assist with site walk-throughs, punch list items, and resolving performance issues.
  
• Monitor adherence to safety requirements and jobsite policies.
  
• Manage subcontractor contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
  
• Track billing submissions and verify that invoices align with work completed.
  
• Maintain accurate project documentation and logs, including RFIs, submittals, and COs.
  
• Facilitate communication between subcontractors, the builder, and internal teams.
  
• Assist in resolving conflicts, schedule impacts, or scope clarifications.
  
• Provide timely updates on subcontractor performance, project risks, and potential delays.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in commercial construction setting. Experience working closely with subcontractors.
