As a member of the UW-Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP), the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) delivers accredited continuing education planned by, for, and with the healthcare team. OCPD works in collaboration with SMPH departments, UW Health, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy, professional associations, and other community-based organizations that fall within the scope of the ICEP mission.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about planning and delivering high-quality, outcomes-driven, team-based healthcare continuing education for practicing healthcare professionals in an academic environment. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented planner/project manager who is meticulous about policy/procedure compliance and educational design and delivery and who enjoys identifying and introducing innovative approaches to interprofessional continuing education, creating inclusive learning environments, working in a web-based learning management system, and who is consistently on time and on budget. The successful candidate should thrive as part of a team, be self-directed, and be committed to personal and professional development. This position is primarily responsible for working with OCPD staff and subject matter experts from SMPH and community partners to manage the accreditation of continuing education activities (in person and virtual live and/or enduring educational courses, workshops, webcasts, etc.) that reach more than 70,000 health care professionals practicing in Wisconsin, nationally, and internationally. Accreditation management includes monitoring compliance with accreditation criteria, reporting, and budgets as well as building and maintaining the activity presence in our learning portal.Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Bachelor's Degree in education, continuing education, adult learning or a related field
Required:
- 2+ years of experience applying adult education principles to effective educational planning, design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Experience working with adult learners in virtual and in-person formats.
- Evidence of effective project management skills in continuing education or training design and using learning management systems.
Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.Ongoing/Renewable
Minimum $54,120 ANNUAL (12 months)
