Better Home Care is a provider of a variety of services from visits to shifts for technology dependent, medically unstable, or vulnerable individuals in their place of residence, enabling them to live as independently as possible. BHC is a Medicare/Medicaid certified and Joint Commission accredited agency. We provide comprehensive home care services in Greater Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery counties.

The Home Care Medical Billing Manager is responsible for the coordination and delegation of billing functions in accordance with state federal and local regulations. This candidate must be well organized and have the ability to multi-task; and possess strong critical thinking skills along with the desire to work in a very fast paced environment.  Previous billing experience in a home health agency is a requirement.
Responsibilities

• Recommend, implement, and direct the agency’s billing policies and procedures
• Research and resolve client billing problems or issues
• Process and follow up on payer denials
• Initiate private pay collections after insurance cancellation, denial or other issue
• Submit reimbursement requests to Medicare and Medicaid
• Ensure that all documents are submitted timely according to Medicare and Better Home Care Standards
• Document payment records and issues as they occur
• Post payments in a timely manner
• Enter charges accurately and expeditiously to ensure proper records handling and fast payment responses
• Process insurance claims for private and employer insurance reimbursement
• Qualifications
• College Degree in related field required
• Knowledge of MCO and Home Care Payer Sources
• Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid practices
• Excellent customer service skills and phone manner
• Experience with medical billing and coding in a home health environment
