Job Description

We are looking to hire a housekeeping manager to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a flexible schedule and have great attention to detail. Responsibilities: * To establish a high degree of excellence in the Housekeeping Department to include all assigned areas of the Hotel. * The Housekeeping Manager will operate the Housekeeping Department and all other areas of responsibility. * Work closely with and maintain a high degree of excellence and communication with other departments. * Be specifically responsible for the standards of all Guest rooms, suites, corridors, back-of-the-house storage and linen rooms. * Ensure all Supervisors continually inspect assigned areas and have turned in inspections. * Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time. * Ensure effective and complete training is in use and all associates are well trained. * Ensure proper key controls are in effect. * Take accurate linen inventories per SOP. * Take an accurate Guest supply inventory every period. * Ensure all reports are prepared completely and on time. * Review operating statements and critique unusual surpluses and shortages. * Ensure that proper key controls are in effect. * Immediate response to all guest problems and guest correspondence pertaining to the Housekeeping Department. * Ensure that lost and found articles are stored properly and correct logs are maintained. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Must possess strong computer skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills. * Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays. * The position requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members. * One year of hotel experience is preferred but not necessary.
