We are in search of a competent Loan Officer to be a part of our Loans Department. Your primary role will be to evaluate authorize the approval or deny the loan application for businesses or entrepreneurs.

As a Loan Officer you will be acting as a liaison between our financial institution and our clients. You will help qualified applicants obtain loans in a timely and hasslefree manner. You should possess amazing communication skills to explain the loan application process to the desired applicants in a simple way. You should be prompt at answering questions and solving their queries.

You should be reliable when it comes to evaluating the credit values and interviewing the loan applicants. Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate the financial status of the person applying for a loan.
• Evaluate the credit value by processing the loan applications and documents within particular limits.
• Interview the loan applicants to determine their financial eligibility and prepare the feasibility report for granting loans.
• Determine all applicable metrics and ratios and set up debt payment plans.
• Communicate with the clients to provide information and to forward their loan requests.
• Approve loans for eligible applicants and reject the ones who are not eligible. Justify the approvals/rejection decisions by filing reports about the same.
• Complete loan agreements and counsel clients on limitations and policies.
• Have an excellent understanding of the different types of loans and other financial services.
• Maintain and update loan files and accounts records.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Economics Finance or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Loan Officer or in Finance Industry.
• Excellent knowledge of computers and banking programs/applications.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent Sales and Marketing skills will be an added advantage.
• Sound understanding of direct and indirect lending practices and products.
• Excellent knowledge of the current affairs of the real estate industry.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
