Job Description:
Atlas Energy is seeking motivated and experienced CDL Class A drivers to join our private fleet for local routes. As a Local Fleet Driver, you will be responsible for transporting sand using bottom-drop trailers while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to work with modern equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Work 6 days on / 1 day off, 6 days on / 8 days off with a rotating schedule of day and night shifts after the first hitch.
-Safely operate a 2022 Mack automatic day cab truck with bottom drop trailers on local routes (100-150-mile radius).
-Drive to scheduled pick-up locations and deliver loads of sand to designated destinations.
-Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment are safe and in working order.
-Maintain compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, including hours of service and logbook entries.
-Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures as outlined by Atlas Sand.
-Operate vehicles equipped with inward and outward-facing cameras.
-Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly (including trip logs and delivery receipts).
Requirements:
-Valid CDL Class A driver's license
-Doubles and/or Triples Endorsements required to start employment.
-Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle.
-Must be 23 years old or older at the time of hire.
-Successful completion of a background check and a FMCSA-approved driving test.
-Clean driving record with an MVR review to ensure no unreasonable safety risks.
-Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
-Must have reliable transportation to get to one of the four pick-up locations.
-Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and complete essential job functions such as securing loads and performing vehicle inspections.
Compensation & Benefits:
-Pay: 30% Pay per trip pay model; easily earn $3,000-$3,200 gross biweekly.
-Shift: 6 days on, 1 day off, 6 days on, 8 days off (rotating day and night shifts).
-Free Housing: Paid housing provided while on shift
-Paid Phone Allowance - $18.46 per pay period
