Positon: SAP FICO Consultant with a focus on Tax Configuration for Mexico

Location: Mexico. 100% Remote to work from home at any location in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements and functional specification documents
• Write appropriate WRICEFs.
• Interpret tax legislation and translate requirements into SAP configurations.
• Monitor legal changes and ensure SAP system reflects updates to Panamanian tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Design, configure and implement SAP tax functionality specific to Panama within the SAP FI module and S/4HANA platform including indirect tax (VAT/ITBMS), withholding taxes, and other statutory requirements relevant to Panama.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to ensure end-to-end tax process alignment.
• Document functional designs, test cases, and user procedures.
• Participate in testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing
• Support end-user training.
• Support business users as they complete user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support a successful go-live.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of SAP FICO experience with a focus on Tax Configuration for Mexico.
• Excellent experience and knowledge of Mexican tax regulations including VAT/ITBMS, Withholding Tax, and Electronic Invoicing (Factura Electr nica).
• E-invoicing implementation experience for Panama.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP tax procedures, condition technique, and reporting.
• Experience working with S/4HANA or involved in S/4HANA migration projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to collaborate across business and IT functions.
• Spanish and English fluency (both written and verbal).
