NeoGenomics has an opening for a Pathologist Assistant who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is an onsite position within the Lee Memorial Health system with a Monday - Friday, Day shift.

Position Summary:
As a Pathology assistant you will work closely with supervising pathologists to perform tissue transfer and large specimen grossing with appropriate tissue sampling and gross description composition.
Responsibilities:
• Gross pathology prosection and description with submission of appropriate tissue for thorough pathology evaluation
• Assist with preparation of frozen section slides
• Prosect and assist in report generation of rare fetal and adult autopsies
• Assist in appropriate quality control and quality assurance measures
• Assist pathologists in preparing for tumor board or other presentations
Experience & Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Pathologist Assistant (PA) from an accredited college or university, graduation from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program preferred, Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Pathologist assistant certification under ASCP
• Five years of laboratory experience as pathology assistant
