Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical recovery.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery, airway management, and pain control.
Experience with monitoring hemodynamics and post-operative complications.

Duties:

Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures.
Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and consciousness levels.
Assess for post-operative complications, including airway obstructions and nausea.
Administer pain management medications and IV fluids as needed.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with PACU protocols and infection control guidelines.
