Job Description

Ralph's American Grill is seeking a Host/Hostess t o join our team! The Host/Hostess welcomes guests to the restaurant and provides fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greets guests in a prompt and courteous manner; seats guest ensuring a balanced workload among servers.
• Assigns and informs servers of stations for meal period.
• Processes take-out orders; may answer room service phone and process room service orders; practices suggestive selling techniques.
• Receives customer payment from servers and processes transactions on cash register as outlines in the cash ans charge procedures; gives correct change; balances cash drawer at close of shift; completes all opening and closing paperwork; documents voids on void balance sheet.
• May assist server’s assistants in clearing, cleaning, and setting tables.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• 6 months cash handling experience
• Customer service skills
• Organizational skills
• Interpersonal communicational skills
