The Roberts County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a dedicated School Resource Officer (SRO) to join our team and help foster a safe and supportive learning environment in our local schools.
As an SRO, you won’t just be enforcing laws—you’ll be a mentor, educator, and protector , building strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents. You’ll play a critical role in crime prevention, emergency response, and youth engagement, ensuring that our schools remain a safe place for students to learn and grow.

? Training & Certification – No prior SRO experience? No problem! We’ll provide specialized School Resource Officer training to help you succeed.

Already certified in South Dakota or another state? We make it easy for you to transition and get started quickly . If you’re certified in another state, a simple reciprocity process allows you to transfer your certification with minimal additional training.
