Senior Data Engineer Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer with strong technical acumen and a passion for transforming complex data into insightful and actionable intelligence.

As a pivotal player on our data engineering team, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support scalable and efficient data operations.

Responsibilities

• Implement data sources integration via API and files-based approaches
• Develop and optimize the data intake process which includes ETL/ELT and DWH modeling
• Conduct data mapping and implement data models within the data warehouse
• Orchestrate data flows to ensure seamless data processing and management
• Implement reports in BigQuery
• Establish and CDC strategies for data synchronization and consistency

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python scripting with 3+ years of experience
• Knowledge and adherence to Engineering Excellence practices
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery and familiarity with other DBMS and SQL
• Background in GCP, CloudComposer, and another relevant scripting language
• Expertise in implementing ETL/ELT processes
• Understanding of the various components and layers of a data platform, including Data Intake, Storage/DWH, and BI
• Core engineering skills including versioning, CI/CD processes, quality assurance, and automated testing
• Good command of the English language

Nice to have

• Additional certifications in Big Data technologies
• Experience in advanced analytical tools and techniques
• Prior work on large-scale data projects in a cloud environment
