Tableau Developer
Primary Location: Chicago, Illinois
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Tableau Developer for our premier client in Chicago, Illinois .
Education and Experience
- 5-7+ years plus of proven experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics.
- Working knowledge as an ETL developer and writing complex SQL Queries.
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge, relational database management systems, and data modeling.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory, architectures, and data sets.
- Experience in Power BI is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. Is a plus.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working with private and sensitive personal information.
- Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software.
- Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficient in data warehousing solutions and ETL tools.
- Proficient in database design, data definition, data dictionary, and related concepts.
- Understands Machine Learning.
- Can leverage data APIs.
- Understands app/dev & SDLC.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Must be able to maintain professional and effective working relations with supervisors, co-workers.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Must be able to learn new skills and technologies.
WHAT YOULL DO: Job Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
- Develop and Implements design principles in Tableau.
- Optimize complex workbooks and large datasets for optimal report performance and maintainability.
- Assume the role of clients Tableau subject-matter-expert.
- Understands the analytic needs of client and translates them into meaningful and actionable data visualizations.
- Perform data analysis and validations.
- Supports internal BTG members drive to increase data literacy throughout company via communications, learning sessions, and other interactions.
- Supports training of team members on how to properly organize findings and read data collected.
- Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Understands how clients data platform integrates within the overall technical architecture.
- Reviews internal data processes and systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Completes related projects as assigned.
