Job Description

Summary

The Video Production Intern will capture footage of on and off ice events and tell the story through editing. Will assist in maintaining our media asset management system (CATdv), ensuring our extensive video library remains organized and accessible. You will also be challenged with storyboarding ideas and bringing them to life throughout the season. This internship will sharpen your skills in multitasking and project management, enabling you to thrive in a fast-paced environment where every project contributes to our exciting creative media production.

Rate of pay is $13.75/hr

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Shoot high-quality video footage of on and off ice events using DSLR style cameras.
  • Edit video content for both short and long form projects using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Assist in maintaining our media asset management system, CATdv, by organizing, archiving, and assigning metadata to a growing library of video assets.
  • Conceptualize innovative methods for capturing and distributing content across a diverse range of projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hours/Time Commitment

  • Requires availability to work during normal business hours, in addition to a minor amount of game nights.
  • Flexible; 20 hours per week
  • Must be able to work the entirety of the season.

Qualifications

  • Open to college juniors, seniors and grad students seeking internships to fulfill class credit requirements or recent college graduates seeking hands on experience.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge in the following programs: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up heavy production equipment.
