Job Description

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach-Goalkeeping is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate women’s soccer program. The position reports directly to the head coach of women’s soccer. This position must be in compliance with all NCAA , conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach-Goalkeeping is responsible for assisting the head coach with all facets of conducting a successful NCAA intercollegiate women’s soccer program. The position reports directly to the head coach of women’s soccer. This position must be in compliance with all NCAA , conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity.
Duties include:

• Overseeing and coaching goalkeepers
• Coaching and instructing during practice and competition for women’s soccer program
• Mentoring student-athletes
• Recruiting student-athletes
• Summer camp administration
• Community engagement
• Fundraising
• Other duties as assigned by the head coach of women’s soccer

Required Experience:

• 3-years of intercollegiate level soccer coaching experience
• Experience with NCAA policies and procedures

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Required Other:

• Master’s degree
• Successful, competitive experience as an intercollegiate soccer athlete, preferably at the Division 1 level
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA and conference rules and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit quality student-athletes
• Coaching philosophy consistent and/or complementary to that of the existing head coach for women’s soccer
• Concern for the character, academic and athletic preparation of student-athletes
• Ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, department members, administrators, university faculty and staff, professional colleagues, and the general public

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
