The Department of History and Political Science at Mississippi College invites applicants for the Director of Administration of Justice program and a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Administration of Justice, beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field is required; Strong preference for degree in hand. The successful candidate will direct the Administration of Justice program, which contains both undergraduate and graduate tracks in Administration of Justice, Homeland Security, and Loss Prevention in both in-person and online formats.
Faculty responsibilities include a teaching load of four courses per semester, student advising, curriculum and program development, participation in departmental, college, and university governance structures, and active involvement in scholarly activities. The director of the Administration of Justice program will also recruit adjunct instructors with relevant field experience and facilitate internships for students.
Mississippi College’s beautiful 325-acre campus is located in Clinton, Mississippi, which is in the Jackson metropolitan area. Clinton is a growing community with one of the top school districts in the state. Conveniently located near I-20, it is also within easy driving distance to New Orleans, Memphis, Birmingham, and the Gulf Coast.
