ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION Senior CAD Designer

Our client is a stable and growing electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical Senior CAD Designer to their team.

The client, is a local electrical contractor who performs a lot of work on a Design / Build basis. They have an excellent Reputation

They are looking for a Senior CAD Designer to lead their growing department.

This person will be required to provide mentorship and coaching for a junior team member.

Senior CAD Designer Responsibilities:

· Create structural BIM models and construction documents for a variety of building types using AutoCad with larger project being modeled in Revit, including commercial and industrial construction

· Create model views, building plans and layouts, sketches, and construction details

· Coordinates with structural engineers to gather building dimensions, drawing requirements, structural details, and drawing markups

· Excellent communications skills are required.

· Candidate should have the ability to understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings, as well as related specifications.

· Familiarity with electrical construction means and methods.

· Experienced in the production of design documents, fabrication drawings, or design detail drawings as it relates to both design professionals and trade contractors in Revit and AutoCAD platforms.

· Experience with AutoCAD and Revit are preferred.

Strong computer, technical, and communications skills are essential and required.

Senior CAD Designer Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience with Auto CAD and Revit

· Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or similar

· In-depth knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad
