Job Description

Legion Outreach Consulting is looking for canvassers who are outgoing, personable, and eager to canvass on a political campaign in Queens and Long Island.

Description:

We are knocking on doors to persuade residents to vote for candidates in preparation for the General Election.

Shifts will run seven days a week until Election Day, November 5th. Pay is $25/hr.

• Monday through Friday the shifts run 4PM to 8PM; Saturdays and Sundays the shifts run from 11AM to 3PM. There is a possibility of double shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Canvassers are required to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, but are encouraged to sign up for more.
• There is a 3-strike policy to curtail flaking on scheduled shifts, for lateness, and for underperformance.
• Canvasser performance is evaluated based on the number of doors knocked in a single shift as well as the number of interactions that result in support for the candidate.
• Canvassers will arrive 30 minutes early on the day of their first shift to go through training.

Qualifications:

• Personable, outgoing, can easily talk to strangers
• Can take and follow instructions quickly
• Proficient in data entry
• Bilingual preferred
• A car is required, as you will be on the move
• Comfortable talking about politics

$25/hr

Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week.

Experience:

• 1 year of canvassing preferred
